Baer’s Best Beans
Longtime growers of heirloom dry beans that are native to New England. Over the past 35 years they have collected beans unique to the area, saving seed and scaling up production of many varieties once common in colonial times but now only rarely grown. These beans are all fresh crop, hand graded for quality, and cook quickly without presoaking. Not only do they reflect some of our local history, these beans are perhaps the best source of vegetable protein as well as being high in fiber, vitamins, and other nutrients.
